Chapter StarBQue

                                                                                 Annual STAR-BBQ

 

     Once again it’s time for our annual Chapter BBQ. Our BBQ is a time for friends and Star family members to get together and share a meal, stories and some good old fashion competition, with all the goodies one could eat. This year with the bike rodeo and horseshoes as well as other games, a person could stay busy. July is always a hot month here in Utah and today was no exception.  Our chapter President George welcomed everyone to the BBQ and got a few details out of the way it, and then it was time to get those burgers and hot dogs cookin’. 

     After a fine meal it was time to get the bike rodeo underway. I don’t think I have laughed so hard in years seeing the skills our riders showed off and how ingenious some people can be on their bikes. Picking up tennis balls, riding on boards and turning that way and swerving this way (how could anyone keep it straight). But in the end we had some winners and a lot of fun. After the rodeo the guys and the gals made their way down to the horseshoe pits where a fierce competition was about to start. Let me tell you there was some major bragging going on and some big time posturing happening in the shoe pits. One great thing about this group with the rules of the game, if we don’t like it we change it to the way we like it and oh yea we changed the game of horseshoes!

             Thanks to all that came out for our annual BBQ, and for all that you did to make the BBQ happen. For those of you that could not make, you missed out on some great stuff and some of the biggest laughs of this year.
